Trying out a Tablet

Hey everybody! I've been scouring around Google and just about every blog I could find that talks about continuity supervising and have realized that there are not that many. Every once in a while I come across a reference where they use computers instead of conventional paper and pens to log notes before, during and after shoots. I think that is so interesting and great for the environment. I find myself wasting so much paper (and time quite frankly) printing off multiple copies of the script, tagging them, lining them, and then doing reports. So I have decided to use a tablet computer to do this instead.

I looked around and decided on an Motion Computing LE1600. It looks like this:
I bought it used, and it should be getting it sometime next week. I had wished to use it for the last day of the production I'm on, but It is probably better that I practice with the tablet before jumping onto the set with it.

Also, I ran across this article. It's a case study of a continuity supervisor who uses a software package called Bluebeam. It's a PDF editor that can has tagging and stamps and such. I plan on trying it out when I get the tablet. Has anybody used it before? How about using a tablet for continuity on set? I would love to get some suggestions and ideas or stories about it.

I know a group of developers at KBC Film Solutions that just created a product for Script Supervisors. http://easyscriptsuper.com/. It is supposed to cut the workload in half and can actually be accessed online! Check it out, let me know your thoughts!

Ps. I also want a tablet!
