Lunch Break

So right now I'm on the set of Liz and we are breaking for Lunch. Today is pretty easy. We have a bunch of long dolly shots that don't require much coverage.

We have a scene where the main actress has to go outside from the living room. We already shot the ext. shot a few weeks ago and it was a sunny day. The weather is on and off at the moment... We do have a rain-date for this shoot on Sunday, but the audio guy Jon, and I have set plans to be out of state for the rest of the weekend. I hope the weather will be good, or wrap up today is going to be hectic... Has anyone ever had to postpone/ cancel a trip because a shoot added days or had to do a re-shoot when you planned to be gone? What did you do, or what would you do if it happened?
